Josh Cole and Bride-to-Be Begin New Musical Project
Friday, July 4, 2008
After over 10 years of playing solo and fronting The Household, Josh Cole has joined forces with his lady love Amy Clay to form The Fool Saints.
"I am really digging this new direction," says Josh Cole. "Amy Clay has this very genuine and expressive voice that mine just naturally finds it's place with harmonically and vice versa. We've been writing songs together and really pushing each other to new and exciting places."
Amy Clay is a powerhouse of creative energy with a very strong work ethic. She is a painter, poet, fiction writer, trained dancer, and has certified storytelling hands. The Fool Saints sometimes find themselves practicing a single song for nine hours straight. So, as eclectic and loose as Josh Cole and The Household could sometimes be, expect The Fool Saints to be an extremely tight band with a very focused sound.
"We definitely plan to rock. Amy Clay has banned acoustic guitars just to make sure we stick to that plan," replies Josh Cole when asked of plans to add some new players to the current, stripped-down feel. "But we also enjoy this. We just love playing and singing together." He added that The Fool Saints plan on finding bandmates that can really add to the love.
"Love Sells." According to Amy Clay. And if that proves true, The Fool Saints will be the richest band ever.
