Wyoming Declares War on Josh Cole

Thursday, April 21, 2005

The state of Wyoming officially declared war on Josh Cole on Friday, April 15, 2005. According to sources close to Cole, he was not aware that the state had any problem with him before this formal proclamation.

Apparently, Cole spent the night of April 14 in his car, Mr. Whippy, near North Platte, Nebraska. He awoke very early and continued driving west.

As the two drove over the border into Wyoming, Cole heard a loud pop and Mr. Whippy started driving very roughly. The two pulled over and with some effort put the small doughnut spare tire on The Whip.

The two found an underground service station that agreed to replace the tire with a shiny whitewall. It was here that they were served with the war declaration saying that "The Cowboy State" was angry at Cole for his representation of himself as a "Bus Cowboy" in his song The Cowboy on the Bus.

"There's only room in this world for one kind of Cowboy," read the document, "Bus Cowboys are unlawful and wrong. They should be exterminated by ANY MEANS NECESSARY."

The state highway department accomplished their first strike on Mr. Whippy by leaving an eight inch pair of German-made wire snips on the westbound side of Rt. 80. This finely crafted tool was found all the way inside the flat tire by the helpful underground tire worker. There is strong suspicion that the Germans are in league with Wyoming against Josh Cole. The Germans were unavailable for comment.

Luckily for Josh Cole, the secret Household Network aided and abetted him and Mr. Whippy during their escape to Utah.
