Gestation
On the tail side of every strength there is a weakness
In the quench of every thirst there is a fire
It takes a difficult journey to bring restfulness
And apathy is just a cover for desire
And peace must gestate and be born like a child
There’s a difference between hope and expectation
Though the sweetness of regret may lose its tone
But somewhere in the space between love’s signature and love’s salutation
Is an anxiousness waiting to find its hearth, waiting to find its home
And peace must gestate and be born like a child
